Sergio,

I dropped down to ruby 2.3 which I got from aptitude and I no longer get that error.

I do now notice when running with -e production I don't have any CSS on the pages.
When run in development I do see everything fine.

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Chris!

That's because you're running v2.4.0 of Ruby, same happened to me.
There's some problem with SSL in ruby v2.4.0 and rails v5.0.0.1 documented in GitHub. Try with v2.3.3!
