AW: Query Regarding GenieACS

Hi,

i would use little bit more ram e.g. 4 GB - but general for your setup a normal state of the art server should be ok.

But its like Oliver hve written - it will depends how current your data must be.

It’s a different when you want have 5 minutes counters for all devices up to date or when you have no general refreshes and a high inform interval ....

I think the second factor is if you have a customer specific preset config - or only a few global settings ... there I think there are 2 different philosophies ...

Make a event based config over the api or use the presets.

But I think for up to 1k devices it should not be any problem with a standard hardware.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen/Best Regards

Hello Team,

1. Approx how many devices can configure for mentioned configuration i.e 2 Cores, 2.x GHz,2 GB RAM and 100 GB HD ?
2. Min time interval that can we set for approx ten thousand device with same configuration ?

There's no definite answer to that question. How many devices are "limited
devices"? There are also other things which influence the needed resources -
inform interval, number of parameters, number of tasks running, etc. I guess
you won't get far with a Raspberry PI but a machine with 2 Cores, 2.x GHz,
2 GB RAM and 100 GB HD will be sufficient for a start.

There's no difference, any recent linux distro which provides the needed base
technologies (node.js, mongo, redis, etc) will be good enough.

The question is: how often do you need to get the status from your devices
(and how fast do you need to run tasks)?

Greetings,
Oliver
